- Use the library search box on the library home page.
- You can Filter by Format to limit to videos. Often you'll need to "SEE MORE" on the Filter by format menu.
- A link within the catalog record will provide access to the video.
- Off-campus, the user will be asked to enter their MyColumbia/OASIS number for access.
In the case of KANOPY videos, some will require a faculty request to purchase the license. In that case, a request form wil appear where the video information is displayed, inviting the faculty member to give their name, email, and course number. The license will be purchased and access will be provided within a few days for videos needed for teaching.
For information on using our streaming video databases directly (not through the library search box or catalog), including Kanopy, Academic Video Online, Films on Demand, Digital Theatre, and Swank, please refer to our streaming video research guide.
